Laoweiba, a punk and folk musician based in Guangzhou, is on his third tour in three years. After being an art teacher and a club manager, he founded a rock band in 1999 that has released five albums.

Set during the Roman Empire, this Spanish historical drama is about a slave who turns to Christianity in the hopes of pursuing freedom. He also falls in love with his master, Hypatia, the daughter of the director of the Museum of Alexandria.

Taiwanese folk singer Huang Jianwei is a therapist by day. He has been well received in both Taiwan and the mainland for his simple and sincere songs. Listeners say his songs can cure broken hearts.

This exhibition presents more than 150 pieces by 30 Chinese designers and groups who return to their cultural roots and “design for the sake of design.” The designers in the exhibition have created a traditional garden filled with their work, such as furniture, accessories and daily items.
