Restrictions placed on outdoor advertisements

New regulations governing the placement of outdoor advertising went into effect on August 22. The new rules define four levels of zoning according to which advertisements may or may not be placed; namely ‘prohibited’, ‘controlled’, ‘concentrated’ and ‘normal’.

Foreigners in China can participate in Chinese volunteer groups and receive the same allowance as their counterparts in China, according to a press release by the Information Office of the State Council on August 22, in accordance with the United Nations’ “Internationalolunteers Year”.
