World’s Finest Fencers Meet in Beijing

The world’s best fencers will duel in Beijing as the Universiade fencing competition lives up to past high standards. Italy, Germany, France and Russia have sent the stongest teams, including Olympic and World champions and the eight best fencers in the world, according to current ranking. The men’s epee event features five of the top eight fencers in the last world championship.

Chinese Move Out of Athletes’ Village

All 390 members of the Chinese Delegation are to move out of the Athletes’ Village after only two days. They will take up residence in the Continental Hotel.
