Don’t Let the Ball Drop!
Lin Wan Ting, a volleyball player from the Chinese Taipei Delegation, was discovered by coach Lin Jiwen as she was chatting with her classmates at primary school. Since she towered way above her friends, Lin Jiwen asked her, “Are you interested in volleyball, little girl?” She was a bit surprised, but curious as well, so her response was, “OK, I’ll try anything once for a bit of fun.” Now she’s been tfor over 12 years.

All the Difference In One Centimeter
“I can only tell them apart according to the numbers on their competing shirts, which is No.4 for Rostyslav and No.12 for Igor respectively,” said Mr. Vladim, coach of the Ukrainian men’s basketball team. “Rostyslav and Igor share just about every similarity possible.Such are common descriptions of the only twins in the Ukrainian delegation, and maybe the only pair among all the Delegations of this Universiade.

Peking Opera Entrances Athletes’ Village
The magic of Peking Opera enchanted the Athletes’ Village last night. Young athletes, delegation officials and volunteers all sat together in the central garden, watching wih curiosity and wonder. Some even leaned out of the apartment buildings above to watch.
