“I was surprised by one thing when I came to Beijing this time,” said Sompob Jamfag, a reporter from Thailand’s Channel 11 Television Station. “I was here five or six years ago, when peopleld only speak a little English such as ‘hello’, ‘thank you’ and ‘goodbye’. But this time, almost every Chinese person I meet can speak comprehensible English, and some of them can even speak English like native speaker.”
