Weather Set Fair for Games Opening

Forecasters are optimistic that the weather will be fine during Wednesday’s opening ceremony of the 21st World University Games. Heavy downpours hit a rehearsal of the opening ceremony on Saturday night. Fears about the possibility of bad weather at the Universiade rose when performers appeared unprepared for rain and the props proved fragile.

FISU news officials have praised the press center of the 21st Universiade as the best in the event’s history.Zhang Tingquan, who ran the Asian Games Beijing Press Center in 1990, is now Director of the Press Center of the 21st Universiade.
