Cloisonné is one of the traditional arts and crafts found in Beijing. Cloisonné ware produced at theeijing Cloisonné Factory enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad and is sold all over the world. Cloisonné, also called “Copper body and Wire-inlaid Enamel”, was popular as far bac the reign of Emperor Jingtai of the Ming Dynasty (about 500 years ago). As blue enamel was primarily used, it was termed Jingtai Blue.
