Tian’anmen Square

With a total area of 440,000 square meters, Tian’anmen Square is the largest city square in the world, located in the heart of Beijing. Over the past one hundred years, it has been the scene of many iportant ceremonies and gatherings. Tian’anmen (the Gate of Heavenly Peace), on the northern side of the square is a national symbol.
