Looking back on Zhongguancun
October 23, 1980, Chen Chunxian launched the “Institute of Plasma Advanced Technology Development,” which was the first civilian-run institution of science and technology in Zhongguancun. It was the first quasi-business approach to scientific and technological development in post-revolution China.
