Five ‘Musts’ after China’s WTO Entr

Tony Perkins, senior director of the US’ Mckinsey & Company, said at the Forum on the WTO and China’s Economy in the 21st Century, “China has turned out to be the world’s new economic powerhouse in terms of both consumer and supplier market. But after China’s entry into the WTO, it has to strengthen its abilities in five areas in order to pursue and maintain success.”

“As the member of WTO, China has the responsibility to give suggestions to the operation of the international organization,” Long Yongtu, Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of China.

Cooperation the key

“Chinese IT industry will have more opportunities despite the more severe challenge after China’s WTO entry. The key to Chinese IT industry’s survival is the attitude they will adopt toward the foreign competitors. If they choose cooperation, the future will be much brighter,” said Guo Wei at the Forum on the WTO and Chinese Economy in the 21st Century.
