Coffee, once regarded as a health risk, is turning out to be at least a low-risk drink, if not a health food.

Previously, negative research failed to tease apart the effects of coffee and smoking because so many coffee drinkers were also smokers. The brew can protect against diabetes, liver cancer, cirrhosis and Parkinson’s disease according to new research.
